NM112 Flexible Coupling

NM112 provides 70 N.m nominal torque, up to 48 mm bore capacity and a rated speed limit of 3000 rpm. It is suited to mid-range pumps, blowers, mixers and machinery when torque, shaft fit, alignment and installation space are all within the model limits.

NM112 opens the mid-range group with 70 N.m nominal torque and a 48 mm maximum bore. It is often evaluated when a drive has a noticeably larger shaft interface but still operates within a 3000 rpm limit.

At 112 mm outside diameter and 60 mm length, installation space becomes more visible in the selection. Check guard diameter, shaft projection and access for the flexible element before fixing the bore dimensions on the drawing.

Where this size fits

Pumps, mixers, conveyors and general machinery can bring different starting behavior to the same nominal power. For NM112, state whether the drive starts loaded, cycles frequently or sees process shock so the application can be reviewed beyond its 70 N.m continuous rating.

Alignment and assembly

NM112 uses S 3.5 +/- 1.0 mm, with 0.07 mm radial and 2.5 degree angular limits. Measure alignment after final machine tightening because base distortion or connected piping can move the shafts from an earlier workshop setting.

Send both shaft diameters, keyways, speed and duty, plus quantity and destination. If either bore approaches 48 mm, include the keyway and fit requirement so the machining request can be checked with the available hub section.

Material and service conditions

The standard flexible element is NBR. For elevated temperature, chemical exposure or a nonstandard hardness request, give the service conditions with the NM112 enquiry so the quoted element can be specified clearly.

State the required material or service environment; do not identify elastomer chemistry by colour alone.

Machining

List the driving and driven bores and keyways separately, including controlled fits where required.

Speed

NM112 is rated to 3000 rpm; verify actual running speed before final selection.

The nominal rating is 70 N.m. Describe unusual starts, reversing or shock in the enquiry.
