Product appearance varies with coupling size and finished bore. Use the model table below for dimensions and send both shaft details for machining.
NM97 Flexible Coupling
NM97 provides 45 N.m nominal torque, up to 42 mm bore capacity and a rated speed limit of 3000 rpm. It is suited to compact pumps, fans and light machinery when torque, shaft fit, alignment and installation space are all within the model limits.
NM97 technical data
NM97 is a useful transition size: it carries 45 N.m nominal torque and accepts bores up to 42 mm, a meaningful jump from NM82. That extra shaft capacity is often the reason to consider it, so the keyway and remaining hub section deserve attention.
| Model | Nominal torque | Speed limit | D | D1 | d max | L | S | Radial | Angular |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| NM97 | 45 N.m | 3000 转速 | 97 mm | 69 mm | 42 mm | 50 mm | 3.0 +/- 1.0 mm | 0.05 mm | 2.5 deg |
D, D1, d max, L, S and radial values are in millimetres. Angular displacement is shown in degrees. On smaller screens, drag the table horizontally to view all columns.
Fit and machining checks
The main envelope grows to 97 mm diameter and 50 mm length. Confirm guard clearance and the shaft-to-shaft space before approving a larger bore, especially on replacement drives where the previous coupling may have been shorter.
Where this size fits
Use the 45 N.m rating and 3000 rpm limit for initial screening, then describe starts, reversing and shock. NM97 can suit pump, blower and machine duties that need more bore capacity than the smaller sizes without yet moving into the heavier mid-range group.
Alignment and assembly
The specified hub separation is 3.0 +/- 1.0 mm. Radial misalignment is limited to 0.05 mm and angular misalignment to 2.5 degrees, so a machine that cannot hold alignment should be corrected rather than upsized as a workaround.
Prepare the NM97 RFQ
For NM97, include the actual bore and keyway on each side plus any drawing-controlled fit. Add the running speed and driven-equipment description so the 42 mm bore capacity is not reviewed in isolation from torque.
Material and service conditions
NBR is the normal flexible-element material. Material alternatives should be tied to temperature, fluid exposure or another defined service requirement, not selected from the colour of an existing ring.
Compare the nearest NM sizes
Compare NM112 when torque or bore is near the NM97 ceiling. If the shafts are below 32 mm and the duty is lighter, NM82 may reduce the coupling envelope.
