NM82 Flexible Coupling

NM82 provides 28 N.m nominal torque, up to 32 mm bore capacity and a rated speed limit of 3000 rpm. It is suited to compact pumps, fans and light machinery when torque, shaft fit, alignment and installation space are all within the model limits.

NM82 technical data

NM82 sits between the compact NM67 and the larger-bore NM97. Its 32 mm maximum bore makes it relevant to many small and medium rotating-equipment interfaces where shaft fit becomes the first sizing filter.

Fit and machining checks

Check the 82 mm outside diameter, 53 mm D1 and 40 mm length against the actual machine space. A coupling can satisfy torque and still be awkward to install if the guard opening or shaft projection is limited.

Where this size fits

The nominal rating is 28 N.m with a 3000 rpm speed limit. NM82 can be evaluated for pump sets, blowers and machinery with moderate continuous duty, but loaded starts and repeated cycling should be stated rather than hidden inside a generic motor-power figure.

Alignment and assembly

Use the 3.0 +/- 1.0 mm S value when positioning the hubs. The stated radial limit is 0.05 mm and the angular limit is 3.0 degrees; verify them after the machines are fully assembled and tightened.

The standard NBR element provides the flexible connection for this range. If service includes oil, heat, chemicals or unusual cycling, describe that environment and request the required polymer or hardness explicitly.
