Send the shaft diameters from the actual motor and driven-machine configuration, not a previous project that used a similar frame. If space around the coupling is controlled by a guard or machine housing, include the available diameter and axial length. That helps prevent a technically rated but physically oversized selection.<\/p>\n
When replacing an installed flexible coupling, model markings are useful but not sufficient. Verify bores, keyways and approximate envelope dimensions, then note whether the original elastomer failed from age, contamination, repeated shock or misalignment. Those observations can prevent the replacement from repeating the same problem.<\/p>\n
