German industrial enquiries often arrive with disciplined drawings and metric shaft data. That is useful, but the model still needs the same core checks: nominal torque, speed, both bores and installation envelope.
Send the interface exactly as it appears on the machine drawing.
Provide shaft diameters in millimetres, keyway dimensions, the required finished-bore tolerance if it is controlled by your drawing, and the coupling space available between guards or machine faces. If a project document names a material, coating or inspection requirement, include the drawing or document revision so the requirement is unambiguous.
For pump and process-equipment packages
State whether the coupling is part of a new OEM skid or a replacement. New packages benefit from motor/pump shaft drawings and target quantity. Replacement work benefits from the installed model marking plus measured bores. Shipment method, documentation and project-specific availability are confirmed in the quotation.
Need a metric model comparison?
The complete NM table already uses millimetres and N.m, so the technical screen can stay in one unit system.
